Share a Coke
Coca Cola is a huge brand that is recognized around the world. In about 2014 Coca Cola started this campaign called Share a Coke where the logo on the side of the bottle can be replaced with a customized name that you choose.
Purpose:
The main purpose of the advertisement was to get people more involved and the company tried to become closer with their customers on a more personal level. In the photo that I shared above this was an ad on Facebook where they personalize bottles of coke for a wedding.
Strengths:
This campaign definitely got people talking. I know for myself I wanted to find a bottle of coke in the store with my name on it. Or receive one from someone. It is a cool opportunity to have your name on a huge company, and it can make you feel apart of it. Another strength this company had was they had a call to action. Where they encouraged customers to go and order bottles of coke with their friends and families names on it.
Weaknesses:
As I was doing research on this campaign there wasn’t a lot of negative reviews from this campaign.
Design:
Throughout Coca Cola’s history they have always had a very simple and clean design for their ads, and this one wasn’t any different. The biggest addition was the personal touch they added by sharing a coke.
Metrics:
The metrics to determine if the ad was successful is determined by the sales.
